Once again french class was booring so here I am with another small fic. I don't like it as much as my first one, but I hope you enjoy

warning/disclaimer: Do not read this if you have not seen the finale (episode 13) of season 3

so here we go:

Michael Scofield kept his hands firmly planted on the steering wheel as he watched the Panamanian views surrounding him. He took a second to look at the origami flower that was on the seat next to him, with a gun right next to it. He knew that what he was planning could and would most likely land him back in jail, but he had to do it. He owed Sara. Even through Gretchen was the one who committed the horrendous act, Michael felt responsible. He felt as if he was responsible for Sara’s death.

With one hand, he grabbed the flower and held it against his heart, still keeping both eyes on the road. When L.J had handed it to him earlier, he had tried to keep it together. He didn’t want him to feel bad, but now that he was alone the tears were flowing. He thought back to when Lincoln first told him the news of her death. He hated his brother at that moment even though deep inside he knew that it wasn’t his fault. He and sara hadn’t known each other very long but that still felt like one of the worst moments in his life. He loved her, he still loved her. She had risked everything for him; her job, her future, even her life, and now that he was free, he didn’t even get a chance to thank her.

He thought back to those memories that they shared during those short few months; their witty banter, their small gazes, their first kiss. He never planned on falling in love with her, but couldn’t help it. He remembered the pain that he felt when he found out what Kellerman had done to her. He felt that pain again, only ten times worse. His brain switched over to the joy he had with her, like the joy of when they were on the train heading to Chicago. She had confessed her love to him for the first time that day and they shared their second but most passionate kiss.

As much as he tried to deny it there had always been that romantic tension between them; when there eyes would happen to meet and they stared into each others souls, when her hand would lightly touch his and he would get goose bumps all over, and when they would stare at each other from across the room.

Images and memories of Sara flooded his mind. He wished that he could have just one more minute with her, to see her smile again, to hold her in his arms and whisper that he loved her. There last moment together had been one of fear and panic. They were hiding out from the cops after Bill Kim’s death. he had taken the blame for her. Even though in the end she had died, he never ever regretted that moment. He thought he was keeping her safe, that he was protecting her.

He placed the flower in the breast pocket of his jacket and looked down at the gun. The shiny metal was reflecting against the bright sun. He knew what he had to do. He owed her.
