What's with all the Google ad banners?Where have they come from & are they here to stay? They're veeerrry annoying, especially when they tag onto the end of a post

The google ads come with our host, its not free to remove them and its not cheap either, previously they were removed in november 2007, for 6 months, so the Ad-free status must have expired in June.
